Sir George Clausen, Landscape
Sir George Clausen (1852 - 1944) was born in London to a father of Danish descent. He became one of England's best known painters of landscapes and peasant life either side of the turn of the twentieth century. He was a founder member of the New English Art Club in 1886 and became a full Academician in 1906.
