John Minton, The Artist's Mother
John Minton (1917 - 57) was a painter and illustrator who acheived particular notoriety as part of London's artistic bohemian scene in the 1940s and 50s. A depressive and alcoholic he committed suicide in 1957. He shared a studio with Robert Colquhoun and Robert MacBride and, later, Keith Vaughan.
